My campaign is set to LinkedIn only but it's still sending emails — is something wrong?

Last updated: June 12, 2026

Customer Question: I set this campaign to send only LinkedIn invites and messages, but it's still sending emails. Why is that happening?

Short Answer: There are a few known reasons this can happen. Walk the customer through each possibility before escalating. In most cases, it resolves itself once the customer identifies which scenario applies to them.

Response Template:

Thanks for flagging this! There are a few things that could explain why emails are still going out on a LinkedIn-only campaign. Can you check each of these and let us know which applies?`

1. Leads from a previous campaign version are still finishing out If you recently updated the campaign from an email+LinkedIn sequence to LinkedIn-only, any leads that were already mid-sequence under the old setup will continue through those original steps (including email) until they're done. New leads will follow the updated LinkedIn-only sequence. This is the most common reason.

2. Your LinkedIn account is disconnected If your LinkedIn account was disconnected at the time the campaign ran, the system may have fallen back to email. Go to Settings → My Profile → Outreach Channels and check that your LinkedIn account is connected and active.

3. The campaign sequence still has an email step. Double-check the sequence steps in your campaign — it's possible an email step wasn't removed when you switched to LinkedIn-only.

Once you've gone through these, let us know what you find. If none of these match what you're seeing, flag it back to us and we'll escalate to our engineering team to take a closer look.
