What is a Watchtower campaign and why do I need a script tag for it?

A Watchtower campaign lets you track website visitors who match your targeting criteria.

To enable tracking, you’ll need to install a script tag on your website.

How do I request a script tag?

Step 1: Create a Watchtower Campaign (if you haven’t already)

  • From the Campaigns page, create a new campaign and select Watchtower.

Step 2: Fill In the Settings

  • Enter your domain in the Tracking Settings field. This should be the domain where you want to track website visitors.

  • Click Generate Script Tag. You’ll see a message that says Generating script tag... and receive an email confirmation once the script is ready to install.

Step 3: Let Us Know You’ve Requested the Script Tag

  • Notify us you've requested the script tag by opening a ticket with our Support team OR via an email to [email protected] with the subject line Watchtower Campaign Script Tag Request


Once you’ve completed these steps, we’ll start preparing your script tag and notify you as soon as it’s ready.

By default, each account is limited to one Watchtower campaign. If you need more, contact our Support team to request additional access
